Painters poetry

The inspiration for this remarkable bar space at an art and antique fair was found in a painting by the famous Flemish baroque painter Rubens.

We translated the baroque Rubens’ style into modern times by graphically reworking the painting with geometric shapes. The nude person was tattooed with Delft Blue flowers. This composition was then printed onto a giant canvas that covered the whole ceiling. We placed sleek and graphically designed furniture in a symmetrical arrangement in the space combined that with flower arrangements in Delft Blue vases.

It all came to life thanks to a live act of a master painter who painted a set of identical twins with the same blue flowers.
